The Windsor African Violet Society meets the second Wednesday of the month. Occasionally meetings are held on a Monday, and will be so noted.

Please bring a plant or two to repot, your special potting mix, clean pots and special tools or gadgets that you use for this process.

“AV Leaves: Manufacturing Wonders”
Learn how AV leaves are factories of nutrition as well as indicators of health. We will discuss the different types of AV leaves such as girl, holly, wavy, bustle-backed, etc. and briefly review how to propagate leaf cuttings.

“Growing Super Streptocarpus”
Deb will instruct us on how to repot, maintain, and groom these beautiful cousins of the African violet.

Angela will lead us in a hands-on experiment in growing an AV or other Gesneriad hydroponically. Bring an AV or other Gesneriad that you are willing to experiment with. Note: we are planning to have these plants on display at our April show.

Joyce will lead us through the process of creating a small dish garden. This will be a hands-on program.

Fran will tell us how to use soil and fertilizer to make our plants perform well and look spectacular.

Annual Pot Luck Supper
Bring your favorite pot luck dish or other get together item. A list will be sent out and members can indicate what they can contribute to the fun.

We will watch an AGGS webinar given by Dale Martens. Doreen will provide everyone with a starter plant to apply the tips that Dale has shared.
